About

I’m an ecclectic person with many interests. And my personality is probably as ecclectic as well. I was born, raised, and still live in Northern New Jersey. I have never been married or have any kids, but I do come from a very close extended family. Currently I work at a special education high school for troubled and learning disabled students. Formerly I have been employed in numerous jobs from landscaping in a cemetery to working at an office building. I graduated college in 1998 with a Bachelor’s degree in History and a certification in Secondary Education and I have since added a Special Education certification. I wrote a book called Liberal vs. Conservative: The Coming Civil War and I self-published it in September of 2008.

Writing, music, storm chasing, travel, gardening, history, and science are just a few of my interests. The first and foremost thing I can say about myself is that I am a non-denominational christian and quite an imperfect one at that. All other aspects of my life are influenced by my beliefs. I truly believe that America is the best country in the world and that this is due to our foundation of freedom. Yet, I fear we have been destroying this foundation for the last several decades. I am a conservative and not a member of any political party. Personally I distrust organizations and am very hard pressed to join one.

Over the last 11 years I have worked at a very interesting high school. As I have said it is for special education students, but the philosophy of the school is what makes it special. My experiences there have greatly enriched my life and have taught me a great deal about people both good and bad. It has also allowed me to be engaged in discussing politics and life in general in great depth. At the same time I have been able to teach music, work on extensive gardens, and show students the natural world through science. Nothing is better than teaching one to do for themselves.

I started to play music when I was about 13 years old. Bass is my first instrument, but I have picked up piano, guitar, and singing as well. Beethoven, the Beatles, and Black Sabbath are some of my favorite artists. I first started to work with trees at age 17 and began to garden a few years later. I have been writing in various forms since my freshman year in high school. I have always had an interest in politics. For the most part I have always been conservative, but there were times (especially early in life) that I thought I was more liberal or moderate. Yet, with learning came the understanding of how to properly explain what to call my beliefs. Politically I probably most resemble a libertarian. I had consistently voted for Jesus for President since 1996, but in 2008 I was finally over 35 years old and decided to vote for myself.

Another personal experience that I think has helped define who I am has been travel. I have been to every state except Alaska and Hawaii, and I have traveled to 12 foreign countries on 5 continents. One day of travel is the equivalent to reading a book. Unfortunately over the last several years my adventures have been curtailed mostly due to finances. Globe trotting has allowed me to understand different cultures and languages, but I still only speak English fluently. From museums to mountains it all has something to tell.

Overall I have lived quite a blessed life. God has given me many talents and many oppurtunities. Some I have used to their fullest and others I am still trying to develop. Hopefully this website will aid in allowing me to more fully live up to my potential.
