Gardening Update
by Timothy Lawton on Apr.19, 2009, under Gardening
Today is probably the first truly warm day in weeks. I last posted at the beginning of April. Since then I have planted onions outside and my peas have grown about an inch or so. I have also started trays and trays of seedlings in my green houses. Broccoli, purple cauliflower, zinnias, morning glories, and a number of other plants over the last several weeks and just the other day I did 5 types of sunflower.
I planted lettuces, mustard, and spinach in the greenhouse which I just put outside in the shade to harden off to plant next week in the garden. At that time I will plant seeds of the same alongside them. I am going to use weed preventing fabric in almost every place that I can this year. I am even going to cut it into strips for my flower boxes. I’M SICK OF WEEDING!!!!
